I’m savoring the remaining moments with some fun with some vibrant lip colors including our new ColorLuxe Hydrating Cream Lipstick as summer slowly draws to finish. I usually dress in black, hence my go-to lip colors are pinks, oranges, corals, and black to give my outfit a playful touch. By playing with stronger, darker tones, I’m also getting ready for fall. Rich reds, plums, and burgundies give my makeup look warmth and sophistication.

I interpreted this as a sign to start my ColorLuxe trip here since Poppy matched my nail polish and necklace and I had been on a little vermillion frenzy this summer. Melted over my lips, Poppy’s warm medium-dark orange red tint felt rather nutritious. Still feeling weightless, I find great pigment content in it. This lip color totally fascinates me. A few hours later, I took the second picture after having a couple glasses of water and a snack between. The color is still brilliant without any touch-up! Though my lips still feel soft, the substance has dried down a lot.
Our selection of moisturizing lipstick next include Peony, a cool medium pink tint. Peony exudes a joyful, pleasant attitude; wearing it makes one naturally happy and energized. For end-of-summer celebrations, I will carry this lip color on hand.
A beautiful cool-toned shade of red, Candy Apple makes one think of sweet foods and snug, warm sweaters. Wear this ideal fall lipstick to pumpkin patches and celebrations.
Perfect blend of boldness and playfulness, passionfruit—a cool dark fuchsia shade—is a great choice for both formal and informal gatherings this fall. My go-to fall lipstick color will most certainly be this tone.
And lastly Bordeaux. This shadow caught me off guard. Although at first sight this deep burgundy seemed too dark for me, once applied it produced a classy and romantic impression. Ideal for a fall evening’s date. I am in love!
My general impressions of ColorLuxe are that it has the color and staying strength of a lip stain yet feels light, creamy and nouraging like a lip balm. When I would gaze at myself in the mirror, I discovered I would forget I was wearing it and was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful my lips appeared. The simplicity of applying it—one swipe yielded all the color I required—makes this my favorite part. I really advise ColorLuxe to try if you want a nutritious, lightweight yet highly pigmented lip color; don’t be shy of the strong and brilliant colors!
